Zora Leigh Dyer

Dyer, Zora Leigh, age 92, of Seymour, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at NHC- Holston. She was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church and the Agape Sunday School Class. Zora was born in Johnson City, TN and raised her family in Knoxville and Seymour. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis S. Dyer; son, Ellis S. Dyer, Jr.; brother, John Mack Benfield; sister, Texie Angley. Zora is survived by her daughters, Inez Lockhart, Jeanette (Dick) Bush, Louise Spires; grandchildren, Frank Lockhart, Allison “Suzy” (Bill) Lee; William Lockhart, Ed (Angie) Bush, Kelli (Steve) Baker, Bobby Spires, Tracy (Terry) McCoy; great grandchildren, Jessica Lockhart (Tyler) Allen, Anna Spires, Hayden (Tara) Baker, Christian Baker, Thomas Bush, Grant Bush, Bailey McCoy, Chloe McCoy; sister, Alice Annas of North Carolina. Family will receive friends Tuesday, June 6th from 5-7 pm at Berry Highland South on Simpson Road with funeral service immediately following at 7pm. Rev. Chase Snyder and Rev. Dwight Singleton will be officiating. Burial will be Wednesday, June 7th at 11am at Berry Highland South.
