LaToya Brittany Dickerson, 34, was called Home on June 24th, 2019 at Community North in Indianapolis. LaToya was born in Kokomo to Melvin Sr. and Mary Dickerson on November 12th, 1984. LaToya graduated from the Excel Center with Core 40 diploma in 2013. She was the face of the Excel Center, and was even featured on their billboard. LaToya was an example of the fact that it is never too late to follow your dreams.
She recently worked at Walmart. When she wasn't working, LaToya loved to travel the globe especially Chicago, and her new found love for the West Coast. She loved the Navy Pier, Brookfield Zoo, and visiting downtown. She also enjoyed Kentucky Kingdom. LaToya had no fear and loved adventure.
LaToya was a woman of God, and was baptized at Second Baptist Church. She was very loving, and very outspoken. Everybody knew her. LaToya knew how to enter a room, she had pizazz.
LaToya leaves behind her children Fabion Kentrail Jones and KeCeirra LaShawn Jones; her parents Mary and Melvin Sr. Dickerson; her sister Danielle Dickerson and her brother Melvin Dickerson Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
LaToya is preceded in passing by her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Story and Lilly Dickerson Wagner.
Friends and family may visit from 11AM to 1PM on Tuesday, July 2nd at Second Missionary Baptist Church, 819 Apperson Way North, Kokomo, Indiana 46901, with a funeral service following at 1PM.
