Patsy Jean Featherstone, 94, went Home on July 11th, 2019. She was born to Paul and Ruth Shaffer on May 13th, 1925 in Sedalia, Indiana. She was a 1943 graduate of Kokomo High School, then went on to work for Stellite during the war. Later, she went to Olan Mills, then to Accurate Parts, retiring in 1988. Patsy married Donald R. Featherstone on August 9th, 1944. He preceded her in passing in November 17th, 1987.
Patsy loved to read and enjoyed crossword puzzles. She had a green thumb, and loved to work in her garden. She enjoyed listening to Christian music, particularly the Gaithers. She was an excellent cook- her family loved everything she made. She was a longtime members of Indian Heights Baptist Church, now New Hope Baptist Church. Patsy kept track of her family's genealogy, and family meant everything to her. She is the last of her generation. Patsy will be missed by all who loved her.
Patsy leaves behind her children Tom (Chris) Featherstone, Greg (Anne Campbell) Featherstone, Debbie (Steven) Shene, and Marilyn Featherstone; daughter-in-law Cindy Featherstone; 8 grandchildren Rick and Tony, Scott, Jon, and Lindsay, Stacey, Jenny and Angie; 13 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Patsy is preceded in passing by her parents, her husband, infant son Dean Featherstone and son Donnie Featherstone; siblings Bob, Bill, Sonny, Faith, and Joyce; and grandson Matt Jeroski.
Friends and family may call from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, on Saturday, July 20th, at Ellers Mortuary, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46902, A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM , officiated by Pastor Mike Sawyer. Patsy will be laid to rest at Crown Point Cemetery following the service.
