Alvin D. Ash

Alvin graduated from Southside High School in 1976 in Muncie, Indiana. He earned his bachelor's degree from Ohio State and earned his master's degree in African studies from Ball State University. Alvin played the saxophone and enjoyed singing. He also enjoyed writing stories and ministering to others.

Alvin leaves to cherish his memories two sons, William Thomas Ash and Andrew Jurison Ash; two daughters, Kija Ash and Alessandra Michelle Ash; his mother, Gladys Ash; sisters, L'Tanya Joyce Pritchard, Kendra Yvonne Ash; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death is his father, William Scott Ash; brother, Scott Tyler Ash; maternal grandparents, William R. and Gladys A. Brewer; paternal grandparents, Scott and Lee Annie (Jolly) Ash; uncle, William R. Brewer; and aunt, LaWanda J. Jackson.

There will be a memorial gathering on Friday, May 24, 2024 at Ellers Mortuary and Cremation Center, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo, from 3:00 PM until the time of the service at 5:00 PM. Suffragan Bishop Eddie Robinson will be officiating.
