Andra was born December 30, 1944 in Williamson, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Paul Barnabus and Euda Madeline (Simpson) Gilmore.
Andra was a 1962 graduate of Frankfort Pilgrim High School in Frankfort, Indiana. She met her late husband, Francis Marion Horne, while living in Frankfort. They moved to Kokomo, Indiana and married on April 29, 1967. Andra worked at Delco Electronics for 20+ years, until health issues forced her to take an early retirement. Andra enjoyed working in her yard and took great pride in her landscape. She very much enjoyed pulling weeds and leaves out of her yard with her precious needle nose pliers, as well as, sweeping the city streets in the middle of the night. She was very brave, determined, and hardworking. She had a gentle and kind heart. She loved her friends and family. She loved shopping at Kohls. She could often be found sitting in her garage with a bag of cheetos and a Diet Coke. She had a twinkle in her eye and had the best sense of humor. She was loved dearly by her family and will be deeply missed.
