Arlena Spangler, 79, of Plainfield, Indiana, passed away on October 29, 2026. Born to Lester and Leona (Bennett) Plumley on December 13, 1946, in Abraham, West Virginia, she was one of 6 children. She was a dedicated and beloved member of the Plainfield Christian Church. Arlena retired from General Motors after many years of loyal service.
Arlena married the love of her life Charles Spangler, who survives. Survivors also include her daughter, Beverly (John) Stephens and Mike (Cindy) Spangler; grandchildren, Alex Stephens, Brad (Morgan) Stephens, Chris (Marie) Stephens, Sarah Stephens, and Matthew Spangler; as well as her siblings, Vera Copeland and Lester Plumley, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Leona, and her sisters, Shirley Greer, Betty Dick, and Jeanetta Tincher.
Visitation will be held at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 West Alto Road, Kokomo, on November 6, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, the time of the funeral service. Burial with a graveside committal will occur immediately following the service in the Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
