Barbara Joan Skiles, age 86, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022. Barbara was born January 7, 1936 in Ottawa, IL to Arthur and Alta (Rudy) Rose. On September 4, 1959 Barbara married William Amos Skiles and he passed away on August 24, 2002.
Barbara loved being with her family and friends but COVID made that hard to see them but she still kept in touch by phone calls and cards. She loved playing games on her ipad to keep her mind active. Barbara was a member of Morning Star Church and was a 1954 Ottawa High School graduate.
Survivors include children; Ronald (Brenda) Skiles, Dave (Kalene) Skiles, Susan (Dan) Price, Linda (Dick) Hickman and 10 grandchildren.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Alta Rose, and husband William Amos Skiles.
Friends may visit with the family from 10 am till the start of the celebration of life. The celebration of life will be held at 11 am at The Connection at 2900 E. Markland Ave. in Kokomo on Friday, January 21, 2022 with Pastor Jeff Evans officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at Geetingville Cemetery.
