She graduated from West Middleton High School in 1936, former cheerleader and avid lover of basketball. Betty married Daniel Beaver in 1947, together they were married for 59 years before he preceded her in 2007. She worked for Reliance, Haynes Stellite and then Delco. She left Delco with her husband to own and operate Beaver Lodge Mobile Home Park. Betty and Daniel loved to travel and see new places. They visited all 50 states and even a few foreign countries. Their favorite place to camp was the sand dunes at Lake Michigan. Together they were also avid square dancers and traveled to many states to dance. In her quiet time she enjoyed a good book, sewing, and even crocheting. She loved to bowl and was on a bowling team for years, and even won the city tournament one year. She was a member and former Deacon of Northview Christian Church.
With everything she enjoyed in life, her family was of most importance. She loved keeping up on their current events and changes in their lives.
Betty is survived by her daughter Nancy Kennedy, grandchildren; Jeffrey Beaver, Michele Clark, Shannon Beaver, Cassandra Kennedy, and Troy Kennedy, great-grandchildren; Destiny Colbert, Dylan Clark, Olivia Clark, Khanyska Ferranti, and others. She is also survived by one sister Rosaline Catron (Charles).
In addition to her parents and husband, Betty is preceded in death by her son Jeffery Beaver, and siblings Keith Fouch and Bonnie Bailey.
A visitation for Betty will be held Monday, July 15, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Ellers Mortuary & Crematory Center, 3400 S. Webster Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46902, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.
