

Brenda Sue Irwin, 66, of Kokomo, passed away at 11:37 PM Saturday April 8, 2017 at her residence. Born August 23, 1950 in Kokomo, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Brown and Anna (Moore) Brown. On January 18, 1969 in Kokomo, she married Donald Irwin Jr., who survives. She was the secretary for Riley Modern Estates; also a medical assistant for Dr. Gohil in Kokomo for 14 years. She was an animal lover; loved making jewelry and crafts; enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Colts, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Donald Irwin Jr. of Kokomo; two sons Matthew (Deanna) Irwin and Michael (Connie) Irwin, both of Russiaville; one daughter Dona (Donald) Smith of Kokomo; five sisters Linda Neal of Russiaville, Shirley Lewis, Micki McDonald, and Debbie (Norbert) Ebenhardt, all of Kokomo, and Vicki Hood of Ellenton, Florida. There are also eight grandchildren Alexis, Maddalyn, Cory, Stevi, Tyler, Lacey, Tanner, and Austin; two great grandchildren Kallopie and Kaine. There is also two sisters-in-law Laura (Richard) Quakenbush of Greenfield and Connie Irwin of Indianapolis; one brother-in-law Gregg Irwin of Homeplace, Indiana; and a special adopted daughter Lisa (Larry) Haynes of Bunker Hill.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Friday, April 14, 2017 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo. Reverend Steve Fischer will officiate. Cremation will follow. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Thursday at the mortuary; also one hour prior to services on Friday. Memorials may be directed to the Humane Society.
