

Brett Alan Whiteman, 32, Kokomo, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2015. He was born January 22, 1983, in Kokomo, to Michael Whiteman and Joyce (Mooney) Nason. He married Jennifer (Wecht) Whiteman, and she survives.
Brett loved music, sports, and cooking and cherished spending time with his children, nieces, and nephews. He had the biggest heart, always wanted to help everyone, and never met a stranger.
He is survived by his mother, Joyce A. (Robin) Nason, Smiths Grove, Kentucky; his father, Michael K. Whiteman, Kokomo; his wife, Jennifer Whiteman, Kokomo; his children, Casie Sage, Hailey Sage, and Jace Sage, all of Kokomo; siblings, Christopher K. (Desiree Peppers) Whiteman, Kokomo, Amanda (Gregory) Hamilton, Kokomo, Eric S. (Amie) Whiteman, Fort Wayne, Angela R. Whiteman, Kokomo, Holly Nason, Florida, and Ryan Nason, Terre Haute; nieces and nephews, Katie, Aubrey, Alex, Emily, Tristen, Jullien, Elle, Hudson, Grace, Evan, William, Alexandria, Landen, and Kayley; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and close friend, John Alexander.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Keith and Ruby Whiteman, and William and Marr Mooney.
A celebration of Brett’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Elder Lewis Hall officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
