Brian J. Justice of Burrows and Kokomo, IN died October 13, 2026, while visiting his sister in Baytown, Texas. Brian was born August 31, 1979 in Logansport, IN to James E. Justice and Kay L. (Garrison) Justice.
Brian graduated from Delphi High School in 1997 where he played football and wrestled. He then went to graduate from Purdue University where he majored in Education. He later received his Masters Degree from Purdue in Special Education. While a student at Purdue he was a manager for the Purdue Football team under Coach Joe Tiller, and was nicknamed "House". He attended many of the bowl games with Purdue, with the trip to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California in 2001 being the most memorable.
He began his teaching career in Texas teaching at Goose Creek Middle School in Baytown. He taught Texas and World History. He also coached football. Later he returned to Indiana where he taught at Eastern High School in Special Education. He retired from Eastern a few years ago because of failing health issues. Even after retirement he volunteered at Eastern in football and baseball when he was feeling well.
As a youngster, Brian was active in 4-H and played Little League. Brian was extremely active at Here's Hope Church in Kokomo and worked very closely with Pastor Murdoch. He was a member of the Gideons International and always bought Bibles to hand out to kids at Halloween. He shared Christ with anyone who was willing to listen.
Surviving with his father is his step-mother Diane Justice (Ward); sister Kimberly Justice of Baytown, Texas; brother Mark (Kathy) Justice of Burrows, IN; step-sisters Kerri (Gene) Tillman of Plymouth; Kelli Westerman of Fort Wayne; and step-brother Kile (Kristen) Westerman of Lake Village, IN. Nieces Morgan (Aiden) Radcliff of Bringhurst; Emily Justice of Burrows and Nephew Mason Tillman of Plymouth.
He was preceded in death by his mother Kay L. Justice and his grandparents Martin and Blanche Justice, Jr.; Blanche Justice; Doyle and Mary Garrison.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 24, 2026 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Ellers Mortuary and Cremation Center, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo, IN. Funeral services will be at 5:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be on Sunday, October 25, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Keeps Creek / Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Burrows, Indiana. Memorial contribution can be made to the Gideons International, Here's Hope Church or Diabetes Association.
