Carlene J. Nearon, age 83, of Milton, Florida, was born on September 3, 1942, and passed away on August 14, 2026.
Born in Russiaville, Indiana, To Carl “Durfee” McKoon and Emma J. McKoon (Troyer). Carlene retired from Delco Electronics and JCPenney’s. Carlene carried with her the values of family, kindness, and quiet strength throughout her life. She will be remembered with love by all who knew her and by the family whose lives she touched so deeply.
Carlene loved spending time with family, she enjoyed activities with grand and great-grandchildren, listening to music, reading books, reading and writing poetry, crossword puzzles, working in the yard, and visiting with friends.
She is survived by her two children, Rhonda Mouser and Tom Nearon (Annie Nearon); her sister, Nancy Gutherie (Jim Gutherie); her grandchildren, Mandi Mouser (Ryan Durr), Ryan Nearon (Erica Davin), Tyler Nearon (Sara Kaye), Kaelyn Roberts (Trevor Pharris), Jake Roberts, and Michael Kucholick; and her great-grandchildren, Chloe, Paige, Hunter, Michaela, Oliver, Sam, Rozalyn, Elaina, Eric, Callan, Jaxon, Brody, Gabe, Presli, Cruz, Jaeli, and Ryder. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Carl McKoon, Dave McKoon, and Max McKoon.
Carlene will live on through the many generations of family who loved her and through the countless moments, stories, and memories they will continue to carry forward.

Visitation will be held at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 West Alto Road, Kokomo, on August 25, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, the time of the funeral service.
Final resting will be at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery, 2097 West Alto Road, Kokomo.
