Clara M. (Karns) Rutherford went to be with the Lord on March 24, 2024 at 3:24 pm. She was born to John and Clara (Eapmon) Karns on May 18. 1931 in Maumee, Ohio. She married Fred E. Rutherford on April 28, 1965, and they had 4 children. She enjoyed gardening and traveling and loved her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Fred Rutherford; children, Donald R. (Lori) Rutherford, Monica Lemons, Erica Cartwright; daughter-in-law, Jeanie Turley; six grandchildren, Tommy (Diane), Trina (Chris). Matthew (Evelyn), Kyle (Lane), Kristan, Jacob; 18 great-grandchildren, numerous great, and great-great-grandchildren; as well as sister, Ellen Karns (Allen) Livingston, and brothers-in-law, Wayne (Connie) Rutherford and Bob (Anna Mae) Rutherford.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents, John and Clara; and siblings, Lillian, John, Herbert, Allen, George, Willard and Charles; and son, Thomas Turley, Jr.
A time of visitation for Clara will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home & Cemetery, 2097 West Alto Road, Kokomo, Indiana 46902. Following the time of visitation will be a funeral service at 2:00 PM, ending in the chapel.
