Daniel moved to Kokomo with his family at a very young age. From those early years, he found happiness in the outdoors—swimming, playing baseball, riding his motorcycle, and spending time outside—pursuits that reflected an enduring appreciation for fresh air, open space, and the quiet satisfaction of an active day.
After graduating from high school, Daniel enlisted in the United States Army, serving his country with honor. Following his military career, he began working for Delco Electronics, where he built a long and faithful career and eventually retired after many years of employment—an example of the reliability and perseverance that marked his life.
In his personal time, Daniel enjoyed music and found particular comfort in the companionship of animals, especially his cats. Those who knew him best will remember the calm contentment he took in these interests and the gentle care he showed to the creatures he loved.
Daniel is survived by his daughter, Melissa M Hickey; his son, Daniel W. Rash II; and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Carroll W. Rash; his mother, June V. Rash; and his sister, Connie Kirby.
