Danny Ray Jackson

Danny Ray Jackson, 39, of Kokomo, passed away at 9:24 PM Tuesday August 1, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital, Kokomo. Born August 22, 1977 in Kokomo, he is the son of Pamela (Wade) Jackson and the late Sherman Jackson. He was a 1995 graduate of Northwestern High School. He worked in maintenance at many area apartment complexes. He loved fishing, watching television, going to family events, hanging out with his mom, and above all he loved his children.

Survivors include his mother Pamela Jackson of Kokomo; two sons Danny Jackson Jr. and Daylin Jackson, both of Kokomo; one daughter Kaylee Jackson of Kokomo; eleven brothers David Jackson, Jimmy Jackson, Sherman Joe Jackson, Jeremiah Jackson, DeMon Varnado, Billy Ritter, Robert James, Jesse Philapy and Jimmy Bell, all of Kokomo, DeShoun Everhart of Warsaw, and Chad Hamblin of West Middleton; three sisters Carolyn Sue Hlavinka of Texas, Lena Bowser and Remanda Jackson-Payne, both of Kokomo.

He was preceded in death by his father; also by one brother Frank Jackson.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday August 8, 2017 at Jesus Apostolic Faith Church, 408 E. Jackson Street, Galveston. Pastor Nettie Evans will officiate. Burial will follow in North Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
