He graduated from Kokomo High School in 1967 and later married Margo Lucas in 1974. He worked at Continental Steel for seventeen years before working construction for twelve years, and then finished at Chrysler. David loved to go deer hunting, fishing, splitting wood by hand, landscaping, and working on his classic car. He also enjoyed listening to the wrens and hanging out on his back porch.

Anytime someone called for help, David was there. Above all, he loved his family and friends.
