Dennis Ray West, 64, Kokomo, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2014, at Milner Community Health in Rossville. He was born February 18, 1950, in Stantonsburg, North Carolina, to Charles Dillard and Versetee West.
He worked as a janitor for Collins Moving and Storage and Schilli Trucking and at Bona Vista from 2012 to 2014 and had lived on Jackson Street in Kokomo for many years. He was a quiet man who loved to work, plant red roses and flowers, and eat big macs.
He is survived by his friends, Van, Becky, Susanna and Will Taylor; his aunt, Floried Bissette, in North Carolina; and cousins in Florida and North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Melvin West; sister, Jennie West; and special caregiver and friend, Shelly McLochlin.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery with Rev. David Boss officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Bona Vista.
