Dereada Franklin Neal

Dereada Franklin Neal, 69, went Home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 13th, 2019. Dereada was born to James and Sherda Neal on July 21st, 1949 in Glasgow, Kentucky. She was a graduate of Kokomo High School, class of 1967. Dereada went on to work for the Kinsey Youth Center for 15 years. Dereada was an excellent cook, and her specialty was Fettuccini. She loved to watch game shows, especially Family Feud. Dereada loved to watch sports, both on TV and when her grandchildren played. She was a longtime member of Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church. Dereada will be missed dearly by all who knew her. Dereada leaves behind her children Tshombe (Chris) Neal, Jonte (Shanea) Gold, Tyson (Tara) Neal, and Kimbrielle Neal, Stephen Reece, George Reece III, and Tonye Malone; stepmother Sonnie Neal; her sister Connie Stout; niece Sherisa (fiancé Timothy Johnson) Smith, nephew Chad (Cassie) Stout and 4 grandchildren Azryel Hizer, Jalen Gold, Treyson Neal, and Parker Benham; and many great nieces and great nephews. Dereada is preceded in passing by her parents James and Sherda Neal; nephew Jamie Miller, and lifetime friend Kimberly Reece. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Thursday, April 18th at Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, 1599 East Sycamore Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46901. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM, officiated by Reverend Tony Meriwether.
