Dixie Lee Ennis

Dixie Lee Ennis, 82, Kokomo, Indiana gained her wings at 8:19 AM on March 25, 2022. She was born on October 12, 1939 in Lake City, Michigan the daughter of George and Bernita Clearwater (Becker). She married the love of her life Ronald Gene Ennis who preceded her in death on April 6, 1990.

Dixie worked at Marsh Supermarkets in the deli for several years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Galveston. She had a very strong faith and loved her church community. Dixie enjoyed spending time with all her family and grandchildren, including the four legged ones. She was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR. Dixie loved donating to the Humane Society and had a special love for all animals. She had a passion for the Golden Girls and they brought laughter to her daily. Dixie loved her community at Berkley Square and was crowned "Mayor". She also enjoyed spending time thrifting.

Surviving relatives include two sons and a daughter, Lee Ennis (Joni); Brian Ennis; Michelle "Chelle" Ennis all of Kokomo; four grandchildren, Meghan McClain (Austin) of Kokomo; Danika Hoistion (Kyle) of Pittsboro, IN; Shailyn Weems (Tyler) of Avon, IN; Parker Ennis of Danville, IN; great grandchildren, Raygan and Paylin McClain; brother, Gene Clearwater (Louise) of Arkansas and several beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home 2097 West Alto Road Kokomo, Indiana 46902. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery Kokomo, Indiana. Visitation will be 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at the funeral home.
