Dolores Shoup

She was born on June 25, 1929 in Aliquippa, PA the daughter of the late Lawrence and Margaret (Lewis) McConnell. On January 14, 1950 she married the love of her life William E. Shoup, and he passed away on August 12, 2001. Dolores formerly worked at the Bell Telephone Company in the late 1940’s and early 1950’s. She was a member of the Shannopin Methodist Church in South Heights, PA and was a devote Christian who loved the Lord. She loved dancing, bowling, going to Starbucks and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include 2 sons: Randy Shoup of Summerfield, FL; and Ken (Tammy Johnson) Shoup of Kokomo.; 4 grandchildren: Ben (Kerri) Shoup of Buffalo, WY, Pete (Kelli) Shoup of Kokomo, Erich Shoup of Pittsburgh, PA, Becca Shoup of Crafton, PA; 3 great-grandchildren: Henry Shoup of Buffalo, WY, Sara Shoup of Buffalo, WY, and Cale Heinrichs of Crafton, PA.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband William and 3 brothers, Lawrence McConnell, Thomas McConnell, and William McConnell.

A memorial service to honor Dolores life will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Shannopin Methodist Church 4014 Jordan Street South Heights, PA. Burial will take place next to her husband at Syvania Hill Cemetery in Rochester, PA. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, Kokomo, Indiana.
