Don Robert Stowers

Don Robert Stowers, 65, of Kokomo, passed away at 8:00 PM Sunday, January 1, 2017 at his residence. Born September 16, 1951 in Tipton, Indiana, he was the son of the late Wayne Stowers and Ruth (McFarland) Stowers On July 18, 1992, in Kokomo, he married Debra Lynn (Sheely), and she survives. He was employed with Chrysler Corporation for 30 years, retiring in 2009. He was a member of U.A.W. Local #685 and also enjoyed playing euchre.

Survivors include his wife Debby Lynn Stowers of Kokomo; two daughters Melissa (David) Mills of Angola, Indiana and Tracy (Toby) Bray of Vanceburg, Kentucky; two step-sons Kirt (Krystyne) Wilson of Kokomo and Michael Wilson of Mentone, Indiana; one brother Dan Stowers of Goldsmith, Indiana; one sister Kathy (Larry) Zahm of Florida. There are also six grandchildren Toby (Karyna) Bray Jr., Erica Stowers, Brooke Mills, Penelope Wilson, Piper Wilson, and Ethan Wilson; one great grandson Alan Bray. There are also several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo. Pastor Evan Strong will officiate. Burial will follow in Tetersburg Cemetery, Tipton, Indiana. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Thursday at the mortuary.
