He was born on January 30, 1937, in Kokomo, to Edward H. and Madonna B. Sullivan.
On December 22, 1956, he married Linda C. Overholser, who preceded him in death on June 27, 2015.
Buck worked as a Field Auditor for the Indiana Department of Revenue, retiring in 2002. No one enjoyed discussing tax codes more.
Buck served honorably in the United States Marine Corps, from 1956-1962.
He was a man of varied interests. One of his greatest passions was Genealogy. Buck worked for decades compiling family histories for both the Sullivan’s and the Overholser’s. He enjoyed “discovering” relatives across the country, sharing stories and information.
Buck is survived by one son, Blake(Monica) Sullivan and their children, Alexandra, Connor and Drew, all of Kokomo; siblings June (Robert) Summers, Kokomo, Dulcinea Odom, Garland, Texas, John (Stella) Sullivan, Kokomo, Barbara Hunt and Connie Lusher, Bunker Hill.
In addition to his wife, Linda and parents Edward and Madonna, Buck was preceded in death by sisters, Kathy Sullivan and Donna Lynn Batchler; daughter Leslie, and granddaughter, Charlsea Renken.
At Buck’s request, burial will be private with no memorial service. His final resting place will be alongside Linda at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
Ronald Reagan once said, “Some people wonder all their lives if they’ve made a difference. The Marines don’t have that problem”. You were a Marine to the end, Buck Sullivan. We salute a life well-lived.
