Donald Lee Morrow, 87, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025, in his home. Born on December 14,1937 in Kokomo, Don lived a full and meaningful life rooted in faith, family, and service to others.
A proud graduate of Kokomo High School in the Class of 1955, Don went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Purdue University in 1960. His dedication to the field of pharmacy began immediately after graduation when he joined Hynds Drug Store in Kokomo. In 1970, he transitioned to St. Joseph Memorial Hospital as a staff pharmacist. Over the years, through hard work and commitment, he rose to become Pharmacy Manager and later Director of Materials Management. The hospital eventually became Ascension St. Vincent Kokomo, where Don continued to serve until his retirement in 2012. He chose to retire so he could care for his beloved wife Jane during her battle with breast cancer - a testament to his deep devotion and love.
Don was a man of unwavering faith and an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church, continuing his involvement when it became Christ Lutheran Church. He rarely missed a Sunday service and found great joy and purpose studying the Bible with friends during Wednesday afternoon gatherings.
He was an avid reader who found comfort and inspiration in scripture and literature alike. Don also had a sharp mind for puzzles and proudly maintained an undefeated record playing puzzle games on his computer - an accomplishment he enjoyed sharing with family and friends.
A lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs and a loyal supporter of the Indianapolis Colts, Don followed both teams with enthusiasm through every season. His love for animals was another defining aspect of his life; over the years he rescued several dogs who became cherished companions. Most recently, he adopted Winnie - despite often saying he couldn't bear the heartbreak of losing another pet. His compassion always won out.
Family meant everything to Don. He was a loving husband to Jane Ann (Allman) Morrow and a devoted father to their children Scott Morrow and Debra Herrmann. Though Scott preceded him in death, Don's legacy continues through Debra; his grandchildren Andrew Morrow, Glenn Herrmann, and Lauren Morrow; and all those whose lives were touched by his kindness.
He lived each day with quiet strength and gentle humor, offering those around him a sense of love and safety that will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
If Don could speak to us now, he would likely say: "Don't make a fuss over me because I am with God in heaven now and I have been reunited with Jane and Scott."
Don loved deeply - and was deeply loved in return.
A Celebration of Life will be held on December 1,2025 at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery & Funeral Home, 2097 West Alto Road, Kokomo. Visitation is 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM.
