

Donald Lewis Walker, 80, Kokomo, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at Golden Living. He was born July 3, 1934, in Kokomo, to Donald F. and Lilly E. (Nuner) Walker. On April 23, 1955, he married Mary (Turner) Walker, and she survives.
He worked at Kokomo Pottery for 49 years, retiring in 1999. He loved to work on cars and was an expert corvair mechanic.
In addition to his wife, Mary Walker, he is survived by two daughters, Christina (Walter) Smith, Camby, and Elsie Richards, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, Wendy (Jack) Mitchell, Indianapolis, Scott Gasaway, Camby, and Catagan Johnson, Kokomo; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Fye, Kokomo; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Donald Hawk; two daughters, Kandy Floyd and Doni Rae Johnson; one sister; and many beloved cats.
The funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Monday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastor Lynn Brust officiating. Burial will follow in Kokomo Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
