Doris Jean Bentley

She was a 1955 graduate of Forest High School where she was active in chorus, state chorus festival, Sunshine Society, class plays, Sextette, and Operetta. In December of 1956, she married the love of her life, Roger Bentley. Doris was a super-mom, raising 4 children, leading scout troops, sewing clothing for her family, tending gardens, raising flowers, and taking many weekend and vacation camping trips all while working at Delco Electronics in Kokomo. Taking care of and spending time with her family was always a priority in Doris's life.

Doris is survived by her loving husband, Roger of Kokomo, IN; son, Kevin (Ann) Bentley, Cicero, IN; daughter, Lisa (Russell) Crum, Walland, TN; son, Patrick (Christine) Bentley, Paris, ME; daughter, Jill (David) Lingle, Kokomo, IN; 5 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Dale (Heather) Crum, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents, her stepmother Bernice "Skip" Crum, a brother Don Crum, sister Diana Morrow , a great grandson, and a great-great grandson.

A visitation for Doris will be held Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ellers Mortuary & Crematory Center, 3400 S. Webster Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46902, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
