Dorothy Lee Purvis

Dorothy Lee Purvis passed on May 14, 2026, at the age of 72, at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Kokomo on June 23, 1953 to late Thomas Lee Barlow and Phyllis Irene (Addison) Barlow, and she survives. Dorothy married Jeffrey Eugene Purvis and he preceded her in death in 1995.

Dorothy retired from General Motors in 2002 after 30 years of employment. She was a member of the UAW #292. Dorothy attended Family Worship Center and enjoyed watching televangelists. She loved Jesus with her whole heart.

Dorothy enjoyed traveling to Florida and spending time on the beach. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her son, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Stephanie) Purvis; grandchildren, Jordie Purvis and Tristan Purvis; great-granddaughter, Vada Jackson; mother, Phyllis Irene Barlow; brother, Thomas (Tamara) Barlow; sister, Pamela Sue Harris; and several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Lee Barlow.

Family will have a private graveside service at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
