Obituary of Earl Robert Williams Jr.
Earl Robert "Bob" Williams Jr., 88, of Kokomo passed away at 8:11 PM Saturday August 11, 2018 at Community Howard Regional. Born September 17, 1929 in Kokomo, he was the son of the late Earl Williams and Lura (Sexton) Williams. On June 28, 1953, he married Sarah Harris, who he had first met while on vacation. He was a veteran who served in the United States Army. He was employed with Continental Steel for 30 years before retiring. He enjoyed fishing, playing poker with family, going to flea markets, and playing chess, checkers, and crossword puzzles. Survivors include his wife Sarah Williams of Kokomo; two sons Keith Williams of Converse, Daniel Joe (Karen) Williams of Minnesota; two daughters Deborah (William) Dunn of Westfield, Roberta (Anthony) Myers of Kokomo; one brother Elmer Wayne Williams of Kokomo; one sister Eva Mae (Gary) Adkins of Kokomo; sixteen grandchildren, Melissa Williams, Corey Williams, Danny Williams, Kristy Williams, Shannon (Adam) Castle, Heather (Anthony) Hutchens, Christopher (Stephanie) Dunn, Travis Dunn, Keith (Madison) Dunn, Tana (Josh) Mathieu, Matthew (Kelly) Myers, Mandy (Jeremy) Carter, Meghan (Jon) Walters, Maddie Williams, Molly Williams, and Kyle Williams. There are 22 great grandchildren including Corey, Tiffany, Stephen, Jalen, Alex, Cheyenne, Faith, Destiny, Peyton, Brooklyn, Phoenix, Lilyanna, Khloe, Zophia, Cecelia, Grayson, Chloe, Lincoln, Sarah, Zoe, Emmalin, also five great great grandchildren. He also had several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter Katherine Tafflinger, one granddaughter Heidi Oakes, also nine siblings. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday August 16, 2018 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo. Pastor Jon Tice will officiate. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Thursday at the mortuary. In lieu of flowers, the requests memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the mortuary.
