

Francis “Tom” Eugene Knox, 84, Kokomo, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at his home. He was born, June 21, 1930, in Vera Cruz, Indiana, to Floyd W. and Mildred D. (Gifford) Knox. On August 17, 1974, he married Deloris O. Wheeler in Lafayette, and she preceded him in death on September 20, 2008.
He served in the United States Marine Corps and then worked at REA Magnet Wire Company where he retired after 37 years of service. He was a member of Octagon Masonic Lodge No. 511 F&AM.
He is survived by two sons, Paul (Fay) Wheeler, Kokomo, and Roger (Vickie) Wheeler, Knoxville, Tennessee; two daughters, Shelia (Ray) Prater, Kokomo, and Tanya Dickson, Kokomo; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Horrace “Bud” M. Knox; and sister, Evelyn L. Brown.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery with full military honors.
