

Harold J. Jeffries, 79, Oakford, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital. He was born June 25, 1933, in Conrad, Missouri, to Charles Bert and Flossie (Howell) Jeffries. He and his wife of 57 years, Connie Harner, were married on December 14, 1957, and she survives.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and worked at Continental Steel as a crane operator. He was a member of the USWA Local 1054 and Center Grove Baptist Church in Phlox. He was an avid golfer and a loving husband, dad, and grandfather.
In addition to his wife, Connie Jeffries, he is survived by daughter, Kim Warner, Terre Haute; granddaughter, Brittany Warner, Indianapolis; grandson, Wesley Warner, Kokomo; brother, Sherrill Jeffries, Tennessee; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Charles “Chuck” Jeffries; three brothers, Mitchell, Larry “LD”, and William “AV”; and four sisters, Geneva, Mary, Corllee, and Miriam.
The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Sharber officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
