Ian was born on January 29, 1997, to Thomas and Dawn Pemberton in Dayton, Ohio. After graduating from Ball State University in 2019 with a major in computer science and minor in creative writing, Ian started his own company, Prometheus Productions LLC, in order to pursue his personal dream of developing his own video game.
He loved hosting movie nights with friends, playing video games, writing short stories and plays, listening to music, and cooking new dishes. He was a bright and kind individual with a gentle disposition who was exceptional at picking up and learning new skills as well as any musical instrument.
Ian spent his free time in past years playing drums for multiple local bands. He also dedicated time towards volunteering at the local food bank as well as donating life-saving plasma.
Anyone who knew Ian, knew that he was funny, fearless, and bursting at the seams with new ideas and stories. He had an immense passion for writing and creating beauty out of the unseen and was always a source of positivity. His family and friends will miss him more than words can say.
He is survived by his father, Thomas O. Pemberton; his mother, Dawn M. Pemberton; sister, Katherine A. Schink (spouse Brian Schink); brother, Andrew T. Pemberton (spouse Ashley Pemberton); nephew, Liam Schink;, niece, Eliana Pemberton; grandfather, Harold Runkle; grandmother, Betty Runkle; aunt MaryBeth Bouterse (spouse Bob Bouterse); uncle Jeremy Runkle; aunt Teri White (spouse Robert White); and cousins Mac Pemberton, Jessica Kistler, and Jennifer Pemberton.
