

Jackie "Jack" L. Alexander Sr., 81, went Home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 24th, 2018 at his home, surrounded by family. Jack was born to Ward and Mildred Alexander on May 16th, 1937 in Kokomo.
Jack worked as a truck driver for Kains Motors and CCX for 56 years. Jack married his wife of 62 years, Evelyn Carroll, on January 15th, 1956 and she survives.
Jack was a State Champion horse shoe pitcher, and played for Wooden Nickel. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with family. He enjoyed vacations with his family all over the United States. Jack loved to watch the Minnesota Vikings play football. Jack was a man of God and he attended First Landmark Baptist Church with Evelyn. He loved to spend time with his family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Jack will be missed by all who knew him.
Jack leaves behind his wife, Evelyn; children Jackie Alexander Jr. (Tamara), Robert Alexander (Karen) of Georgia, and Ivah Callahan (David) of Georgia; brother Ben Alexander; half-brother Harry Wood; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Jack is preceded in passing by his parents; and daughter Betty Cooper Alexander.
Friends and family may call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, December 28th at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 29th at 11:00 AM, officiated by Pastor Bob Morphew, also at the mortuary. Jack will be laid to rest at Crown Point Cemetery immediately following the service.
