

James served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed NASCAR, football, and working on cars. He was a tool and die maker at Ford Motor Company for 30 years. He will be remembered for being a loving father, brother and devoted grandfather.
James is survived by his children, Keith (Sherri) Cripe, Cathy Davis, and Laura (Jason) Curtis; nine grandchildren, Bethany Cripe, Adam Davis, Brianna Abbott, Heather Jones, Tyler Davis, Savanna Jones, Dylan Jones, James Cripe and Kaitlyn Cripe; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Sharon Disher; brother, Derry (Terry) Cripe; first wife, Norma Rubush who was by his side when he passed away; former son-in-law and good friend, Tim Davis; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers; daughter Melanie Cripe and grandson Ryan Davis.
Funeral services will be at 10 am on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Aubrey officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Army and the Kokomo VFW military rites honor team.
