Jo Ann Butcher, 76, Kokomo, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2011, at North Woods Village. She was born June 28, 1934, in Rensselaer. She married Jimmie Butcher, and they were married for 51 years before he passed away on October 18, 2010.
She graduated from Kokomo High School and had worked as a volunteer at the Howard Regional Hospital Oncology Department for 17 years. She was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Harley Greene, Roann; one brother, Ben Coyner, Avon Park, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
The funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Friday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Visiting hours will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kokomo Humane Society.
