Joan E Calvert

Joan Etta Calvert, 89, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away January 10, 2024. She was born on December 10, 1934 in Gary, Indiana the daughter of William and Ruth (Hood) Parks. Joan was a former receptionist for Dr. Tom Wachob in Kokomo. Joan loved taking care of her family and spending time with them. Monthly family dinners were very important to her as well as going out to eat. Joan loved shopping and taking photos of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Steven Michael Calvert (Carol) of Brownsburg, IN; Brian Calvert of Kokomo, IN; Sherry Little of Kokomo, IN; five grandchildren, Courtney Carness (Brian); Brooke Clem (Jeremy); Justin Olin Sumner (Brandi) all of Kokomo, IN; Kristen Calvert of Valparaiso, IN; Amy Rhodes (Barry) of Brownsburg, IN; four great grandchildren, Riley Clem; London Bratz; Emily Mae Carness; Charlotte "Charlie" Rhodes; brothers, Jim and Don "Skeeter" Heater. Joan was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Dorsey Olin Calvert. Visitation will take place at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Road, Kokomo, IN on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 11:00 am until the start of funeral services at 1:00 pm. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
