Joey loved Country Music and going to concerts with her friends. When Joey went to a concert, she would find her cousin Angel Mae and hang out with her and made sure everyone knew Angel was her cousin. Joey loved rides on motorcycles, and she was fond of her uncle Larry Hattabaugh, who would take her on an occasional ride. Her cousin Casey was like a sister to her that she loved very much. Joey loved having fun with her many friends, and she was an outgoing person who did not know a stranger. She was a very kindhearted and generous person who was quick to help people in need. Joey worked at Chrysler Kokomo KTP.

The Lord blessed Joey with two beautiful children, Macie and Mason.

Joey is survived by her parents Joseph and Donna Ross, her two children Macie and Mason, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

I am writing to offer my deepest condolences about the death of your daughter Joey Nicole. I saw her obituary post on social media in the BPD google news alerts, and wanted to reach out to you. I lost my sister to borderline personality disorder in 2001, and run an organization that supports those with BPD. We also run a BPD Loss support group. On behalf of all of our members who have tragically lost loved ones to this mental illness, our hearts are with you. We thank you for sharing her struggle with BPD with the community. If there is anything we can do for you or your family, please let us know.

I did not know Joey very long, but in the 8 to 9 months I was blessed mother friendship, she taught and showed me so many things. What a beautiful soul!! She loved with all of her heart and soul, cared more than any will ever know, and laughed and had fun like it was her only quest in life. She showed me how to love without abandon and life and good offs if not a soul of watching. This little lady is going to be VERY dearly missed. I don't think I will find another friend quite like her. I just wish, more than anything, I'd have been able to help you, baby girl...We love you, I sweet lady. Until I see you again 🥰🥰🥰

I remember when I moved back from Texas and started at IMMI. I didn’t know anyone and Joey who I hadn’t talked to since High school made sure I had a friend on breaks. She was always smiling, always talking to everyone, and so up beat. Sad to see the class of 08 lose such a great woman. Praying for her children and family during this loss.

I remember when Joey went to King’s Island with the church group when she was pregnant for Macie. She and I walked around together all day since I was a chicken to ride the rides & she couldn’t ride them. We had a lot of fun just laughing, eating junk food and hanging out. I loved her very much & will always remember the Joey I spent that carefree day with! I will be praying for you all in the days that lie ahead. I hope you can find comfort in knowing that God’s grace is sufficient, and Joey is now at peace.

My favorite memories are from childhood- being babysat together with Casey & Joey the handful of times they were at Lori’s were so much fun! Then youth group was great too. I ran into her a few times at Chrysler and she always had a smile on- even in such a harsh work place like that! She always had me laughing!
