John Dale Gadberry

John D. Gadberry, age 88, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Monday, April 11, 2022. John was born February 19, 1934 in Sullivan, IN to the late John E. and Hazel (Rumple) Gadberry. He married Carolyn (Snyder) Gadberry on April 4, 1959 in Carlisle, IN, and she survives. John graduated from Sullivan High School in 1952 and from Rose-Hulman in 1956. He was an engineer at Chrysler for 35 years before retiring in May 2007. John was a member of Judson Road Christian Church. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Carolyn; two sons, Rich (Melinda) Gadberry, of Fishers and Craig (Cathy) Gadberry, of Apopka, FL; five grandchildren, Alex, Eric, Jacob, Kaelyn, and Sarah; and three brothers, Tom, Danny, and Steve. Preceded in death are his parents; and brother, Richard Gadberry. There will be a time of visitation for John on Tuesday, April 19 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo from 1:00 PM until the time of funeral service at 4:00 PM. Pastor Brandon Bentch will be officiating. Burial will take place on Wednesday at Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of John to Judson Road Christian Church, envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
