

Joseph William Francis Flood, Jr., 78, Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2014, at his home. He was born February 24, 1936, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Joseph W. and Regina (McDonough) Flood. On December 8, 1956, he married Rose (Craker) Flood in England, and she survives.
He graduated from St. Thomas More High School and later served in the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1963. He then worked at General Motors for thirty years, retiring in 1996. He was a huge Notre Dame fan since 1965 and was a member of the American Legion, the 40 et 8, the VFW, the K of C, the Moose Lodge, and St. Patrick Catholic Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Stephan (Mary) Flood; one daughter, Nina (Jeremy) Medina, all of Kokomo; five grandchildren, Cassandra (Beau) Schofield, Lafayette, Drew (Laura) Flood, Indianapolis, Colin Flood, Kokomo, Bella Medina, Kokomo, and Barryn Medina, Kokomo; and two great-grandchildren, Elliott Flood, and Merrick Flood, both of Indianapolis.
He was preceded in death by parents.
