

Joseph K. Winter, 66, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Kokomo, Indiana. He was born in Lowville, New York on August 11, 1950 to the late Joseph Winter Sr. and Marie Winter.
After graduating high school in Lowville, Joseph enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country honorably for 8 years. While serving, Joe was stationed at Grissom Air Force Base in Indiana and it was there that he met his wife of 44 years, Dorothy (Jones) Winter.
After serving his military commitment, Joe went on to work at the Chrysler plant in Kokomo and was employed there for 33 years.
A memorial service will be held at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home in Kokomo, Indiana on Friday, December 16, 2016, at 2:00 pm. Visitation is planned from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home in Kokomo.
In addition to his wife, Joe is survived by his daughter, Megan Fewell (husband Scott). He is also survived by 3 sisters; Ann (Mike) Hoar, Lisa (David) Peters, and Patricia (Jeff) Meyers, 4 grandchildren; Grant (Kristin) Brannock, Joseph (Lace) Brannock, Chance Fewell, and Jaden Fewell, and 5 great-grandchildren; Tom Brannock, Arthur Brannock, Kaydence, Hunter Brannock, and Greyson Branock. He is also survived by his aunt, Leah Howell.
In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his grandson, Shannon Brannock.
