

As a child she took tap lessons, and as an adult loved cooking, making flower arrangements, and knitting. She also loved her dogs Marley, Kuma, and Diesel. Judy graduated in 1979 from Haworth High School. She participated in band and the colorguard. After graduating she moved to Southern California and started her family. She cherished her two sons, Vince Jr. and Austin Payne. She truly loved life and her family. Judy went back to school and in 2015 received her LPN license in Detroit, MI.
She will sadly be missed by her sons, Vince Jr. of California and Austin Payne of Montana; aunts, Dorothy Malone of Elizabethtown, KY, Ruth Malone of Indianapolis, IN; niece, Brigitte and great niece, Simonne Gaskin; special cousin, Rev. Michael C. Carson; best friends, Tarita Brown, Donita Humphries, and Joyce Anderson; along with cousins across Indiana, Ohio, and California. Also extended families, the Tompkins and Stewarts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George V Sr. and Harriett Gaskin; brother, George Jr.; nephew, Troy Gaskin; and special cousins Dennis and Leslie (Soup) Johnson, along with a host of uncles and aunts.
The family would like to acknowledge the heart felt cards, phone calls, donations to Ellers Mortuary and prayers. A special thank you to Red Cross. God bless all who Judy’s life has touched. She will forever dwell in the kingdom of Heaven. Thank you and God bless, Gaskin Family. A celebration of life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, March 12 at Ellers Mortuary at 3400 S. Webster Street. Burial will follow at Kokomo Memorial Park Cemetery.
