Judy A. Davis

Judy A. Davis, 67, Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on Friday, July 06, 2012, at St. Joseph Hospital in Kokomo. She was born May 7, 1945, in Greeneville, Tennessee, to Clifford “Bee” and Claudia (Tweed) Fillers. On June 25, 1974, she married Robert Davis, and he survives.

She graduated from Chuckey-Doak High School in Tennessee and later became a teacher. She taught at Taylor Elementary School in Howard County, Indiana and attended Indian Heights Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and friend.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sons, Jeffrey Davis, Marble Falls, Texas, Steven Davis, Kokomo, Indiana, Mark (Renee) Davis, Kokomo, Indiana, and Harry (Jennifer) Davis, Kokomo, Indiana; one daughter, Angela (Jason) Braunsdorf, Ingleside, Illinois; four brothers, Orville “Buddy” Fillers, Clifford “Junior” Fillers, Eddie (Beverly) Fillers, and Kenneth (Shirley) Fillers, all of Greeneville, Tennessee; three sisters, Dorothy Morrison, Kathryn Willett, and Betty Reaves, all of Greeneville, Tennessee; twelve grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ray Fillers; and two sisters, Irene Roberts, and Mary Ruth Tweed.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of Peace in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery, Kokomo, Indiana. Entombment will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
