

Julius John Shulick, Jr., 85, Kokomo, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 3, 2014, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 9, 1928, in Indiana, Pennsylvania, to Julius and Anna (Bulinka) Shulick. On May 23, 1998, he married Lisa (Sparger) Shulick, and she survives.
He graduated from Seymour High School and attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and retired as a Tech Sergeant after 20 years of service. He later worked for McGonigal’s, Lefferd Ford, and at McGavic’s for 20 years. He was a member of Chapel Hill Christian Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Andy (Suzzanne) Sparger of Kokomo; grandchildren, Madyson Sparger, Taylor Sparger, Aubrey Sparger, Trevon Johnson, Olivia Eddington, and Alliyah Hochstedler; niece, Toni Claypoole; great-niece, Michelle Monsour; great-great-niece, Mya Monsour; great-great-nephews, Kaden John Monsour, and Khoury Joseph Monsour; and his loyal friend and pet, Boo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Alma Marie Fitzsimmons and an infant sister.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Chapel Hill Christian Church, 2600 W. Alto Rd., Kokomo, with Pastor Steve Allen officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church. Messages of condolence may be expressed online at www.sunsetmemorygarden.com.
