

Katie L. Gourley, 83, Kokomo, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2013, at Jefferson Manor. She was born January 24, 1930, in White County, Mississippi, to Bonnie Callis and Mary (Larue) Hardin. On September 17, 1949, she married Tom Gourley, and he passed away on February 22, 2003.
She retired from Delco Electronics after 30 years of service. She was a faithful supporter of her husband’s softball games. She was a member of UAW Local 292 and Kokomo Christian Fellowship.
Survivors include three daughters, Toni (Michael) Ryan, Teresa (David) Bourff, and Jackie Reed, all of Kokomo; six grandchildren, Tom, Jeff, Brian, Jason, Shannon, and Ashley; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one granddaughter, Jennifer; four brothers; and one sister.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastor Nickie Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
