Larry Ray Burton

Larry Ray Burton, 73, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on July 30, 2026. He was born on November 20, 1952 in Columbus, Indiana the son of Gordon Lester Burton and Ramie Lucille (Taylor) Aldridge. He married Vonda (McKinney) Burton on May 20, 1972 who survives. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Larry was employed at Chrysler for 23 years before retiring. He enjoyed fishing, building RC airplanes and hunting. He was an avid music fan and was an amazing drummer. He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Vonda; children, Leslie (Stephen) Clark Jr., Jeremy (Courtney) Burton, Jeff (Mylen) Philapy; grandchildren, Branden (Jessica) Grigsby, Cody Clark, Evan Burton, Michael Burton, Christian Burton, Madison Burton, Gabby Philapy, Lorraine Philapy; great-granddaughters, Skylar Grigsby, Lea Grigsby, Faith Grigsby; brother, Bobby (Cathy) Burton; sister, Susie Strickland.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ruby Burton; grandson, Randy Grigsby; cousin, Ronnie Giles.

Visitation will take place from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home 2097 West Alto Road Kokomo, Indiana 46902. Burial will follow at Kokomo Memorial Park.
