Lenore "Lee" Gillund
June 17, 1933 – July 29, 2022

Lenore Lee Gillund, 89, of Kokomo, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022 at Community Howard Regional Health Center. She was born June 17, 1933 in Milwaukee, WI to the late John and Anastasia (Ann) Di Bella. Lee was married in 1963 to the late Arden (Art) Gillund. In 1972, the couple moved from Oak Creek, WI to Kokomo, IN, where Arden worked for Delco Electronics. Lee was primarily a homemaker/mother, but did work for several years at Wilson Mini Warehouses. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, the birds that visited her bird feeders, her pets (especially her Yorkshire Terrier - Beethoven), and the occasional rummage sale or thrift shop. She loved spending time with family.
She is survived by her five children: Dennis M. Gillund (and special friend Dawn Balistreri), Gary M. (Sherry) Gillund, Cynthia L. (Michael) McClaran, Sheri L. McGue (and special friend Brent Robinson), and Jay B. (Kim) Gillund, her 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren (with 3 more on the way!), in addition to numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and two brothers-in-law, and two sisters-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her husband Art, her parents, a sister (Linda), a brother(Louis), a granddaughter (Kelley), and a son-in-law (William Wilson).
Services will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Christ Lutheran Church, 3401 S. Dixon Road, with Pastor Sharon Walker officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. with burial immediately following at Sunset Memory Gardens, 2097 W Alto Rd, Kokomo, IN 46902.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the local humane society in memory of Lee Gillund. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.ellersmortuarywebster.com for the Gillund family.
