Leslie "LB" Boyd Johnson

Leslie Boyd Johnson, 72, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at home. He was born on October 27, 1940, in Tipton County, to Ernest and Rena K. (Myers) Johnson.

He was currently working for Maple Tree Transport in Elkhart, and he retired from Delphi in 2001 after many years of dedicated service. He enjoyed cutting wood and traveling. LB had visited every state except Hawaii. He was also a long time patron of Club Oasis.

Survivors include two daughters, Shelly Johnson, and Kimberly Corley; daughters and son of his life companion, Tracy Earnheart, Angie Hubble, and Joe Earnheart; siblings, Dorothy Wallick, Carol Redd, Harold Johnson, Connie Brown, and Mary Johnson; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews; and his loyal dog, Bubba.

He was preceded in death by his life companion, Alma Jean Earnheart; his son, Ernie Johnson; four brothers, Doyle, Roger, Gary, and Dan Johnson; and his parents.

The funeral service will be at 12 p.m. Friday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
