Linda Sue Creed

Linda graduated from Kokomo High School in 1974 and went on to build a diverse career. She worked with the Salvation Army, Indianapolis Newspapers, AT&T, and the Kokomo Tribune, dedicating herself to serving and informing her community through various roles. She graduated from IUK in 1979 and was a substitute teacher. She sold Avon and was a customer service professional throughout her career and was continually winning contests for her customer service excellence She was also an avid supporter of We Care.

Throughout her life, Linda attended Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church and One Church - A Church of the Nazarene. Linda was connected to her faith through her family and church community.

Linda enjoyed board and card games, attending concerts, and reading Stephen King novels. She was an avid supporter of We Care Kokomo, loved watching sports, taking country rides to pet cows, visiting zoos, and cherished vacations. Above all, spending time with her family was her greatest joy.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Creed; sons, Jeffrey Watkins, Matthew Watkins, and William Joseph (Joey) Shook; daughter-in-law, Bry Homeier; her beloved grandchildren, Annalee and August Watkins; and Sister, Carol (Brad) Snyder; nieces, Sarah (Wes DeBoy) Potts, Katherine (James) Slider, Jasmine Potts; nephew, Kelcey Snyder; great-nieces, Leia Slider, Hayleigh Snyder; great-nephew, Linkin Slider; special friend, Tammy Saul; fav cous, Karla Sammons. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Art and Lucille Lehman, and husband, Billy Shook.

Visitation will take place from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM Friday, August 23, 2024 at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM Friday, August 23, 2024 at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home 2097 West Alto Road Kokomo, Indiana 46902. Burial will follow at Albright Cemetery Kokomo, Indiana.
