Margaret Louise Miles

Margaret Louise Miles, age 84, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023. She was born in Clinton County, Forest, Indiana to Clarence Dale and Sarah (Armstrong) Grove, in 1938. She attended and graduated from Hayworth High School. She moved to Illinois, where she lived for a number of years before coming back to Kokomo. She belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star and Rebeka Lodges. She worked as a delicatessen in the meat department for 29 years. She also worked at a greenhouse as a planter for 12 years, and caring for people in their homes for 20 years. She loved people and her dogs, her family and grandkids, fishing, word searches, puzzles, coloring books, and shopping yard sales.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Sarah; sister, Barbara Grove; brothers, Paul Kenneth Grove, Harold Eugene Grove, and Robert Lewis Grove; daughter, Brenda Clark; and sons, Douglas Meyer and Eddie Meyer.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Meyer; son, Steven Meyer; grandchildren, Devin Meyer and Renee Jarrett; and great-grandchildren, Chelsey Sanders, Katie Jarrett, and Jacob Meyer Begley.

A public visitation for Margaret will be held Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ellers Mortuary & Crematory Center, 3400 S. Webster Street, Kokomo. A funeral service will be Friday, January 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM, at the same location, with burial immediately following at Crown Point Cemetery, 1101 E Sycamore St, Kokomo.
