Marshall Banter, age 40, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022. Marshall was born November 25, 1981 to the late Michael Banter and Marcia Goerss, who survives.
Marshall absolutely loved cooking. He was a chef at Indiana Wesleyan University and The Foxes Trail before starting at List Lawn Care. Marshall was a huge fan of R&B music as well as sports, such as the Pacers and Colts. He also enjoyed spending time with his children and friends.
He is survived by is his children, Karmin Banter and Kadin McCain; mother, Marcia Goerss; sister, Misha Jefferson; paternal grandmother, Loretta Banter; maternal grandparents, Horace and Hilda Dalton; nieces and nephews, Phoenix Jefferson, Griffin Jefferson, and Taylor Jefferson; cousins, Erica Silvers and Drew Godby; aunt, Angie Godby; uncle, Chris Godby; other relatives, Mark and Brenda Byrd, Reshawn Rayls, Brian Erdmann, Cody and Shelbie Damewood, Lauren Damewood, Kynzie Rayls, Tyler Rayls, Sophia, George, and Evelyn; best friend for over 20 years, Jessica Roberts; and pets, Coco and Cassie.
Preceded in death by father, Michael Banter; step-father, Edward Serrano; maternal grandparents, Bruce and Mary Raines; paternal grandfather, George Banter; and several paternal uncles.
There will be a time of visitation for Marshall on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 3:00 P.M. until the time of service at 6:00 P.M. at Ellers Mortuary Webster Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo.
