

Marvin E. Tinklenberg, 79, Sharpsville, went to be with the Lord at 5:25 a.m. Friday, January 06, 2012, at Howard Regional Health System. He was born March 5, 1932, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Martin and Lucille (McCart) Tinklenberg. On July 2, 1983, he married Sue Steward.
He worked as a lineman for many years out west and moved to Frankfort in 1956 to become the serviceman for the town. In 1965, he moved to Kokomo and worked for General Motors until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of the Howard County Antique Tractor Club and Beulah Land Church in Sharpsville. He enjoyed farming and camping and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Sue Tinklenberg, who stood faithfully by his side for many years during his declining health; daughters, Lonna (Rich) Thomas, Kokomo, Teresa (Mike) Calloway, Richmond, and Kelly Pogue, Kokomo; step-children, Connie (Kenny) Nicley, Tennessee, Kent (Nancy) Donahue, Tennessee, and Anthony (Dawn) Steward, Kokomo; grandchildren, Kara (Jason) Landis, Scott (Amy) Calloway, Ryan (Kiara) Thomas, Lindi (Zach) McKillip, Dalton Sickbert, and Dakota Pogue; step-grandchildren, Kenny Nicley, Kendall Nicley, Kimberly Tudor, Steven Donahue, Kent Donahue Jr., Jonothan Fletcher, Anthony Steward, and Kaitland Steward; many great-grandchildren; sister, Muriel Thorpe, Iowa; and special friends, John West and David Breeden.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Beulah Land Church, 6569 N. 400 W. Sharpsville, with Pastor Dan Coomer officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Visiting hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the church. Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
