Mary Elizabeth Hudson-Vandergriff

Kankakee, Illinois, the daughter of the late Paul Hudson of Galveston.

Mary was raised by grandmother, Myerl Hudson, and one uncle, Wilber Hudson, both of Darrough Chapel. After their deaths, in June of 1965 Mary lived with her uncle and aunt Manford and Martha Hudson in Hemlock, Indiana. Mary was a 1970 graduate of Taylor High School in Center, Indiana, and took a course in microcomputers at Grissom Air Base in 1989, and she worked at K-Mart #4014 in Kokomo and National Tire and Battery in Kokomo.

In June of 1999, she married William Vandergriff of Kokomo, Indiana, and he survives. She has one son, Elton Windsor of Kokomo; granddaughter, Lily Windsor; one stepson, Tim Vandergriff; one grandson, Brayden Vandergriff of Tipton; sister, Tina Hudson of Hemlock, Indiana; brother and sister-in-law, Gene

and Becky Vandergriff; nephews, Daniel Fewell, Jerry McCaskill and Morgan Whetzell, all of Kokomo, Indiana, Scott McCaskill of California and Will; niece, Jennifer; great-niece, Ginger McCaskill of Hemlock, Indiana; her ladies only NASCAR club members; stepbrother and sister-in-law, Joy and Dennis Cardwell; and her loving dog, Daisy.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, 2022, at Ellers Mortuary, 3400 S. Webster Street, Kokomo. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Ellers Mortuary with Pastor Joy Cardwell officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery.
